Entice is an invite-only growth team for consumer finance apps. This page says what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and how to have it deleted. Questions go to hello@tryentice.com.
What we collect
- Invite requests. When you request an invite you give us your app’s website or App Store link and a work email (and any note you add). We store them in our database with a one-way hash of your IP address, used only to limit abuse, and email them to our team.
- Usage analytics. Pages viewed, clicks and rough device and location info, so we can see how the site is used. Session replays show layout and clicks only: what you type and the text on the page are masked.
- Errors. When something breaks, technical details of the error (browser, page, stack trace).
- Clients. If you work with us, the brand information you share (logo, colours, product details, notes) and the content we make together.
How we use it
We use an invite request only to judge whether we’re a fit, to prepare a private teardown of your category, and to reply to you. We use analytics and error reports to fix and improve the site. We never sell your information and never use it for ad targeting.
Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering a request you sent and in running a working, secure site; for clients, it’s performing our agreement with you.
Teardowns and public data
Our research is built from publicly available ads and posts: public ad libraries and public social media posts. Each teardown page is private. It is unlisted: only someone with its unguessable link can open it, and we ask search engines not to index it.
Who processes it for us
We use a small set of service providers, each only for the job below:
- Vercel: hosting, and file storage (Vercel Blob).
- Neon: our Postgres database, in the US.
- Resend: email, including forwarding invite requests to our team.
- PostHog: product analytics and session replay, sent through our own domain.
- Sentry: error monitoring.
- Cloudflare: bot protection (Turnstile) on our forms, which sees your IP address and browser.
- AI model providers: they process public marketing data and a client’s brand information to produce research and drafts. We use providers’ business APIs, which don’t train on API data by default.
Our providers may process data in the United States. Where data leaves the EU or UK, we rely on our providers’ standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
- Access. Strictly necessary cookies that let invited users into the app and mark their visits as internal, so we can filter them from reports.
- Analytics. A first-party cookie and local storage entry that count visits and tie a visit’s pages together.
We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep an invite request while it’s relevant to a conversation with you. Ask us to delete it at any time and we will within 30 days. Analytics events are kept for up to a year and session replays for up to 30 days. Client material is kept for as long as we work together, then deleted on request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@tryentice.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. We don’t sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising.
Changes
If we change this page we’ll update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged to clients directly.
